This election has more twists and turns than any novel could ever imagine. And now with 11 days before the election, FBI Director Comey claims to have found new emails as a result of a search involving Anthony Weiner and Clinton aide, Huma Abeden. No information is really known except for a short 2 paragraph letter from Director Comey to Republican leaders. Everything in Washington, DC is political. And I have to admit the revelation of any “pertinent” emails at this timing is likely politically motivated. Despite what many people might say otherwise, everything is really political.
WUSA 9 anchor Bruce Johnson interviewed legal analyst Debbie Hines on Friday, October 29, 2016 on the Clinton new emails and their significance to the 2016 election. Watch here: Legal analyst Debbie Hines examines what this latest email probe could mean for Hillary Clinton’s campaign:

I believe this will lessen HRC’s efforts to win the WH. Trump’s achievement orientation will carry him over the finish line. What do we have to lose? We were once predominantly republican (from Lincoln to Eisenhower @ 95 years), then why not swing back (56 years later)? Go for people, Profit, and planet.

I offer a friendly hand shake at the end of this presidential election process, and while I supported Trump, I know how I would have felt if his attempt would have failed, so I feel for you and your advocacy (honestly.) So once again we are at that infamous “agree to disagree” fork in the road, but respectfully so (I hope?)
I have some advice for your side. Protests are fine, but shutting down freeways is no better than Chris Christie’s team shutting down New Jersey bridges (I could not support my sides action there…very childish). This endangers/harms the community a large, no matter if done by a politician, or by citizens. March, display posters/signs, scream/yell, but setting fires in the middle of cities is just foolish…what if someone’s building caught fire, maybe if they were setting fires in front of your law firm? Destruction of police vehicles serves no productive purpose, what if that car was called to provide protection for a citizen in need? I could go on, but I am sure you understand. I also realize that some of these incidents are not reflective of the majority of the protesters (except the shutting of thoroughfares), but so many idly stand by without attempting to curtail the “idiots” and their actions. I would think that people like yourself who have a influential public presence would urge your side to keep protesting, but stop the destructive/harmful activities.
Next the DNC. The DNC is just plain corrupt (Donna Brazile, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, and the gang.) Your side needs to clean house to have a system that allows the voice of all Democrats to be heard. Super Delegates that represent the “elites” of the party, and backroom deals that coronate the party’s upper echelon selection, and not the regular people choices is very sad (even to a conservative like myself.) Like Trump or not, he beat back the Republican party favorites. Imagine if Elizabeth Warren (I guess that the party told her it wasn’t her turn) would have been on the ticket?
Finally all of the “She won the popular vote” yakking has got to stop. As a lawyer have you ever had a client go free via a “hung jury”? The rules are the rules, even though eleven jurors said guilty a single voice can make the call. Hillary lost according to the rules of the electoral college as set forth by our constitution. When I see the all of liberal pundits on TV say “But she won the popular vote” over and over (implying she should have won) it indicates ignorance of the rules…right? My focus returns to your arena, imagine a prosecutor standing up and saying “But your honor, eleven of the jurors said guilty!”. At this point re-prosecute, or drop the case.
Once again thanks so much for you time (you must be a very busy person). I really do read your posts “religiously” to further my insight. If you have the time a reply would be interesting, but not a necessity.

Extremely interesting election and time in our history. What does everything think about the possibility for a stronger 3rd party in the future?
